Doraville, Georgia

Historically, Doraville was another small agricultural town north of Atlanta, until General Motors built it's assembly plant there in the 1940s. With the help of the plant and the railroad, the town grew to the point that it annexed the neighboring communities of Oakcliff and Northwoods by 1960. In 2008, the GM plant closed, leaving the huge complex to generate rumors of redevelopment, including a new NFL Stadium for the Falcons and a mixed use complex similar to Atlantic Station.

Doraville is a vibrant suburb of Atlanta and has over 10,000 residents. Doraville (along with neighboring Chamblee) have a richly diverse population as both have seen a great influx of Asian residents along Buford Highway.
